SIESTA

Bright, the afternoon sun shines,

Heavy, I close my eyes.

Earthy, the scented breeze wafts

Bringing with it,

The tempo of cicadas.

Listen O' listen,

To the lullaby of the songbirds

Maybe-

I should take a siesta.
